General Atomics has purchased Neva Ridge Technologies, a Boulder, Colo.-based provider of synthetic aperture radar data processing technology and services, for an undisclosed sum as part of efforts to expand its tech capabilities in defense and space markets.

General Atomics said Tuesday it will integrate Neva Ridge into its electromagnetic systems group as part of the transaction.

Scott Forney, president of GA-EMS, said the company will leverage Neva Ridge’s experience in delivering SAR technologies to expand infrastructure, advance its products and deliver enhanced platforms to government and commercial clients.

Neva Ridge Technologies was established in 2005 and has SAR processing capabilities in terrain mapping, interferometry, 3D point clouds and millimeter ground motion mapping areas. It has a patented technique that uses SAR data to generate 3D precision imagery.

Neva Ridge Technologies has made important innovations and advancements in high resolution SAR, including a unique, patented technique to produce three-dimensional precision imagery using SAR data, which align with GA-EMS’ focus on delivering cutting-edge technologies for the defense and space markets.
